More hybrids were in play at the Senior PGA Championship this past
weekend than any other single event in the history of the Champions,
PGA or Nationwide Tours. A staggering total of 173 hybrids were used
and the Adams Golf (OTCBB:ADGO) Idea a2 hybrid claimed the #1 spot
in the equipment count with 74 being played, according to the
Darrell Survey. A dominating 42% of the hybrids in play were Adams
Golf, with 15 other manufacturers combining for the remaining 58%.
“This is the year of the hybrid
and we’re very proud that Adams Golf is leading the way,” said Max
Puglielli, Adams Golf Tour Operations Director. “Each week more and
more professional golfers are replacing their long irons with
hybrids. This is not a trend, it’s more of a permanent shift in how
golf will be played.”
The Senior PGA Championship also
marked the 12th consecutive Champions Tour event that
Adams Golf has led the hybrid equipment count. Year-to-date data
from the Darrell Survey shows that Adams Golf hybrids rank #1 on the
Champions Tour, #2 on the PGA Tour and a very close #3 on the
Nationwide Tour.
“The demand for Adams Golf
products on all three professional men’s tours is at an all-time
high,” Puglielli added. “Having a strong presence on the Champions
Tour is nothing new for Adams Golf, but the momentous impact the
company has made on the PGA Tour and Nationwide Tour this year is
helping to make our company one of the fastest growing golf
equipment manufacturers.”
Developing high-performance and
technologically innovative golf products is the cornerstone of Adams
Golf. From the initial design, through manufacturing and servicing,
