Adams Golf Extends Endorsement Deal With
Brad Elder
Adams Golf (OTCBB:ADGO)
announces the endorsement contract extension of PGA TOUR player Brad
Elder. Elder, 32, makes his return to the PGA TOUR after finishing as
the 17th-ranked player on the 2007 Nationwide Tour Money
List. He will continue to wear the Adams Golf hat, carry the Adams
Golf tour staff bag and will play the company’s hybrids and woods.
Elder won the
Preferred Health Systems Wichita Open by four strokes, which was the
largest margin of victory in the tournament’s 18-year history. The win
also marked Elder’s third Nationwide Tour victory in his professional
career, which began in 1998 after playing collegiate golf at The
University of Texas. As a regular on the PGA TOUR from 2000-03, Elder
earned over $1.5 million with career-best finishes of T2 at the SEI
Pennsylvania Classic and 3rd place at the Southern Farm
Bureau Classic.
“I’m looking
forward to playing again on the PGA TOUR in 2008 and I’m excited about
my continued partnership with Adams Golf, one of the best equipment
companies in the game,” said Elder. “Living only a few miles away from
the Adams Golf headquarters affords me the opportunity to work closely
with their staff and use their facilities for both testing and working
on equipment. The success they’ve had over the past few years on tour
is due in large part to the outstanding team of engineers as well as
the guys in the tour department who I work with day to day. I
completely trust the quality and performance of the equipment they
provide me.”
Last season on
the Nationwide Tour, Elder captured one victory, six Top 10s and nine
Top 25 finishes adding up to over $230,000 in winnings. He is an avid
sports fan and enjoys watching sports when he’s not working on his
golf swing. A native of Oklahoma, Elder got his start in golf from his
father.
“We’ve been proud
to have Brad on our staff for over the last two years and extremely
happy for him and his family regarding his return to the PGA TOUR,”
said Chip Brewer, Adams Golf president and CEO. “Brad is a fine player
and a class individual who deserves to be playing on golf’s biggest
stage. We know he will be a wonderful ambassador for our brand and we
look forward to supporting him towards continued success.”
